artists presented at Parallel Vienna Art Fair:

TYMEK BOROWSKI (1984) was born in Warsaw, Poland. Lives, has fun and works in Warsaw. In years 2005–2009 he studied Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studio of Leon Tarasewicz. Tymek Borowski focuses in his work on “theory and practice of reality”. Tries to find practical rules governing reality. Within his practice he tries to figure out how one can stay loyal to oneself and ones ideals, balanced in spirit and conscious about what is happening around. His works are kind of recipes of “how one should live his life”.

MACARENA RUIZ-TAGLE (1981) was born in Chile, lives and works in Berlin, Germany. She obtained BFA at Universidad Católica, Santiago in Chile as well as MFA degree at Studio Arts during Sculpture Program at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. 2011-2013 she was a student of Olafur Eliasson at his Institut für Raumexperimente at Universität der Künste in Berlin, Germany. Fascinated by light as a material presence, which is a primordial element confined in the world revealing the surface and dimensions of space, Macarena Ruiz-Tagle’s work departs from the interest in the possibilities of the human eye, the physiological reactions and optical phenomena.

TARWUK (1981) Bruno Pogacnik Wukodrakula and Ivana Vuksic) is an artist collective founded in 2014, based in New York. Tarwuk explores the limits of personal privacy, communication and intimate viewing experiences. Their approach requires a physical transformation of reality: the location and the work become inseparable, merging into a truly immersive environment. Using both traditional sculptural techniques and a wide range of computer software (from 3d photo-geometry scans to various video and photo editors), they create multimedia installations. In their work they are interested in the breaches between the digital and the physical realities.
